Question #1 Answer:

My computer reboots manually when I'm in a game, why?

Your video card cannot handle the amount of graphical data sent to your system. Don't load any unnecessary programs such as messenger services. Next, download the latest drivers for your direct X and video card.

Question #2 Answer:

I was in a hardcore game and when I was close to dieing, I quickly escaped but my characters and items are gone, why?

You thought you left the game on your side but from the battle.net server, your dead. Once a hardcore character is dead, it cannot be revived/restored.

Question #6 Answer:

I'm getting the realm error message when I try to connect to a battle.net on my Diablo 2 game client. I know that it's not down because my friend can go on, what do I do?

This seems to be an occurring problem for most Diablo 2 players. I can tell you one thing, it isn't a bug created by blizzard to make your gaming experience a terrible time. This problem is simply a security feature that happens when you do the following:
a) Log in and out of Diablo 2 online game to fast.
b) Log in and out from Diablo 2 characters to fast.
c) Connection was lost from battle.net and you reconnect to fast.
Normally the realm down error will show from a minimum of 10 minutes to a maximum of 24 hours. If you have any questions regarding this bnetsupport.com post use the forum (coming soon).

Question #7 Answer:

When I try to connect online it freezes on the connection screen saying, "Connecting to the fastest battle.net server." What do I do?

This could be a numerous things, one could be your firewall is blocking TCP/UDP connections on port 6112 (Battle.net server port), in this this case, enable it through your firewall properties configurations. If your using a router, disable it by typing your router ip through your internet browser to enter the control panel for your router. (for help disabling e-mail me.) Another problem is your patch wasn't installed propertly. Redownload the most up to date patch at battle.net (Official battle.net site), then install it.

Question #8 Answer:

I see people with clan channels that have nothing to do with their name while I'm stuck with OP (myname) channel. How do I get a clan (anyname) channel?

Your only allowed to have clan channel(s) if the (anyname) is not registered. Only Warcraft 3 clients are allowed to join these channels and you'll need ten of them to register one channel name. To register, one of the 10 Warcraft 3 players invites the remaining 9. Once the channel is created, all game clients are able to join. The downside to a clan (anyname) channel is that there has to be 10 members that have to sign in through an occurring 30 day period. To increase the chances of having 10 members on Warcraft 3 logged on per month, you should invite more into the clan.

Question #9 Answer:

Can I transfer items from one character to another without having another person in the game with me?

Yes you can. What you do is create a game with your Diablo 2 character (make sure it's a private game name and pass that noone will be able to find out like hey88/hey11), after you create the game stay in it for approximately 10 minutes. After 10 minutes is up, drop a test item, like a short sword. Leave the game and select one of your other characters on your account then join the private game you created earlyer. If you can join it, then you can transfer items by yourself simply repeating these steps. keep in note: Do not transfer lots of items at once. Do one item at a time and DO NOT CHANGE CHARACTERS OR LOG OFF AND ON TO FAST!. Change characters ever so slowly by counting 2 seconds before you make a click.

Question #13 Answer:

How do I report hackers/cheaters?

You can report cheaters by e-mailing blizzard at
hacks@blizzard.com or abuse@blizzard.com. Make sure you give legitimate screenshots (not non-game screenshots) as well as a clear description of the incident. It would best to send replays of the game if your reporting a maphacker on Starcraft/Broodwar. Response from battle.net representative could take 2-5 battle.net office days.

Question #14 Answer:

I finished creating my Starcraft/Broodwar map using StarEdit tools, how do I load it to play online?

Click create game when your on a battle.net server then select the game type you want the map to be played as, (Although it is appropriate to select the game type the map was originally made for). After doing that, where it says "maps" in the same screen, select browse then locate your map. To make it easier for yourself, always save you created maps to your Starcraft/maps folder so it won't be hard to locate when it comes to browsing for your map.

Question #15 Answer:

Sometimes I see my game client as well as my desktop on my monitor without using any program to do that. One top of that, the Broodwar screen that is showing with my desktop is all messed up. How do I fix it?

This is usually a rare incident that occurs. However, if it does, simply create a game on your game client (that's covering half of your screen). Then type anything for game name and click create. When you enter hold alt then hit tab and a selective box will appear. Choose one of your program other then your game client. Wait 2 seconds then hold alt+tab again and select your game client. Your game client should no longer be on your desktop as a small window with a very little resolution.

Question #16 Answer:

Can Diablo II Maphacks be detected?

This has been the question since the release of Diablo II maphack. Diablo II maphack is a client side program but the fact that is has to send packets to battle.net server in order for it to reveal the map makes it very detectable. One wrong packet or an error in coding could spell an end to your account and possibly your cdkey. The safest bet is to not think of downloading maphack. If you really, really need maphack, you can narrow down the chances of gettin caught by not using any other tools within the maphack. (ie. Aimhack)

Question #17 Answer:

After I installed the updated patch for battle.net online, it auto loaded my blizzard game like it's suppose to. When I tried to logon with what I think is the new patch, it says I need to install it again. What's the problem?

This is a common error, so your not the online one. Close out of your game and reload it by cd manually. Once it loads to the screen where you can choose single player, multiplayer, options and etc... Check the bottom right hand corner to see if the patch is up-to-date. If the patch is not up-to-date, download the latest from
http://www.battle.net. If the patch is correct, try connecting online again, if it ask to update the patch again and you know you have it, reinstall your game again. Instead of automatically letting battle.net install the patch this time around, download the patch yourself from http://www.battle.net.

Question #22 Answer:

My account is banned from joining Warcraft 3 ladder for abusing one of the TOU (Term of Use) by using maphack. I was wondering how long it will last.

Being banned from breaking a TOS can vary in the amount of time your suspended from ladder. It's all based on the severity of your actions. You may be able to play a ladder game after a week, month, year, or maybe you won't ever see your cd-key in a ladder game again. The best solution is to e-mail a Battle.net Representative to get information on why your banned and the approximate time you'll be able to play a ladder game.
